Los Cabos Transportation

Private transfers, airport shuttles, and ground transportation throughout the Los Cabos corridor

A Jewel at Land's End

Los Cabos sits at the very tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean collide. The water changes color right before your eyes, calm turquoise on one side, deep blue on the other. It is one of those rare places that genuinely lives up to the photographs.

Before it became one of Mexico's most visited destinations, it was a small fishing community. Before that, pirates used its sheltered coves to ambush trade ships rounding the cape. When John Steinbeck passed through in 1940, Cabo San Lucas was still a quiet village. By the 1950s, Ernest Hemingway and Jean Harlow had already discovered it. Cabo has always attracted people who know a good thing when they find it.

For decades, getting here meant a private plane or a boat. That changed in the early 1970s when Mexico's Highway 1 finally connected the peninsula. An international airport followed. Then a marina. Today, millions of visitors arrive every year, and the place still manages to feel worth the trip.

Getting Around Los Cabos

The Los Cabos corridor runs about 20 miles between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Most hotels, restaurants, and activities fall somewhere along that stretch, split between three zones: San José del Cabo, the Tourist Corridor, and Cabo San Lucas. Door to door between the two towns is typically 30 to 45 minutes.

Los Cabos is home to over 150 hotels and resorts and 18 championship golf courses. The main landmarks, El Arco at Land's End, Medano Beach, the San José del Cabo art district, and the Cabo San Lucas Marina, are all reachable by private vehicle without much fuss.

Planning a day trip beyond the corridor? We also serve Todos Santos, Los Barriles, El Triunfo, and La Fortuna for those who want to explore further afield.

Los Cabos Transportation Services

Pre-booked transportation is the most reliable way to get around Los Cabos. Taxi fares in Cabo are largely negotiated rather than metered, and while Uber operates in the area, it is not legally recognized in many parts of Los Cabos and is prohibited from picking up or dropping off at the airport. Rideshare pricing also surges in the evenings, so knowing your rate in advance makes a real difference. Whether you are coming off a flight, heading to dinner, or moving between hotels, Cabo Transfers has a service that fits.
