Getting Around San José del Cabo

San José del Cabo's historic downtown is walkable, but the broader area is not. Puerto Los Cabos, the estuary, the golf courses, and the outlying restaurants and farms are all spread out in ways that make a car essential. The Tourist Corridor, with its concentration of luxury resorts, begins just west of town and runs all the way to Cabo San Lucas, about 30 to 45 minutes away.

San José del Cabo is also the closest major town to SJD airport, just a short drive away, making it a natural first or last stop for travelers moving through the region. Day trips to Todos Santos, El Triunfo, and Los Barriles all depart conveniently from here as well.
